Passenger in custody after airline threat at St. Pete-Clearwater Airport

St. Petersburg, Florida -- A passenger is in federal custody today after making a threat aboard a plane that landed late Thursday night at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. the FBI said.
The plane was a scheduled Allegiant Air Flight #864 from Greensboro, N.C.
Authorities said a woman locked herself in a bathroom of the plane, passed a note and apparently tried to start a fire.
She was taken into custody at the airport by Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies. The FBI took over the investigation.
Ed Wersing, whose brother was on the plane, said his brother called him on his cell phone with details of the incident.
He said as the plane was approaching the airport, a woman got out of her seat and started to walk toward the back of the plane. She was told to sit down, but did not. Instead, she went into a bathroom and locked herself in.
Wersing said his brother told him an attendant asked him to help him get her out of the bathroom, and that they used a fire extinguisher to bash the door open after they were unable to unlock it from the outside.
Passengers were allowed off the plane after the woman was taken into custody. Several of them were being questioned by the FBI.
There were no reports of injuries.
FBI Agent Juana Klim said the FBI anticipated releasing information on the incident later today.

Now that's Innovation!! I hope for her sake she had an all girl crew of F/A's because some of those guys they hire are just itching to fight with women!!

Sarah needs to go back to that nice warm, heavily padded rubber room without windows or a inside doorknob. And her doctor needs to be sued for reckless endangerment for letting her out in the first place.

Bravo on the FA's for being very aggressive. By all rights, Sarah should have had her head caved in by that fire extinguisher after a direct threat and apparent action to harm the aircraft and passengers.

Great idea, and BTW did I miss the news coverage on this? CNN or FoxNews hasn't said anthing about it, unless I've missed it.

They were showing it on friday afternoon on atleast one of those channels because that is how i found out. They did not say the airline name, just that it was St. Pete. It was easy to see the allegiant plane though.
