Im currently training in Colorado under the FAA 141 program. Its looking like I wont be able to finish my ppl here in Colorado because I am moving in December to the DFW Area. Im wondering how hard it will be to transfer to another 141 flight school and also if anyone knows of any 141 flight schools that use Piper Archer/Warriors (thats what Ive been training on here and would like to continue with the Pipers) that are located within reasonable distance from the DFW vicinity?

you still lookin for a house out here?

...have i got a deal for you!

I'd be interested to find one myself as well. I've been bouncing around between locations when down in Dallas to fly because these Part 61 operations are so fickle in their operation. LNC's not been able to hold onto one recently, and RBD's prices went through the roof. I was flying with Classic at ADS last time down, but if anyone knows a good Part 141 (or even just a good place to rent planes at a reasonable price) let me know because I need to find somewhere that I can count on being around when I'm down there to visit family because I usually end up flying out somewhere to visit friends (it's a heck of a lot faster with all the little airports around Texas to just fly down and see them instead of drive).

141 School in Dallas

DenverDude,

Try Monarch Air, when I lived in Dallas I flew there and picked up my inst. rating.

They have several Archer/Warriors and some are GPS equiped. Their Cessna fleet is really good, Lots of '99 and newer Skyhawks and most of their older models are in great shape and equiped with Garmin 430's. The main school is at Addison, ADS, but they also have a schools at McKinney, TKI (north of Dallas) and Dallas Executive (Used to be Redbird, RDB, in south Dallas) Prices are about the same as the other schools in Dallas, but I choose them because of the large fleet and modern equiped aircraft. One thing that is a down point is how busy ADS can get. I was once told ADS is the busiest single runway airport in the U.S., I don't know if it's true or not, but there is alot of traffic there. Every now and then you have to sit on the ground for some time waiting to get off.

Check out their website, www.monarchair.com. PM me if you want, and I'll recommend an instructor there if you'd like.

Phil

You can try USFLIGHTACADEMY at Denton (DTO). They have 3 2003 Warrior III all with Garmin 430's in them. They also have an Arrow and a Seneca with Garmins. School is 141 certified.
