I know this subject has been beat to death in the past, but here is the ? that I was unable to find an answer for.
As we all know the regs say 13 days off min per quarter, just so happens thats all we get from my employer so a day off is an important commodity. Here is the ? You are scheduled to have this Saturday and Sunday off, our weekends start on Friday at 0000Z and end on Sunday at 0000Z (48hrs-2 days). Example....I fly Friday until 0600Z, In my opinion I should get my 10 Hrs rest then start my weekend at on Saturday at 1600Z after getting off rest, otherwise I spend 10 hrs of my 48 off getting cought up on sleep. How does your company do it ?Start the days off at 0600 when you get back or 10 hours later.

Thanks for the in put and enjoy your hard earned days off!!!!!!!!

Sorry, you wouldn't find that in print anywhere - unless your flight department writes it into a Company manual. Company is under no obbligation according to regs. to provide that 10 hr rest AFTER completion of your assignment with no other assignment following. Your day(s) off will serve as the 10 hr rest for starting another assignment. 13 days a cal. quarter averages out to 1 day a week (24 hrs)(Doesn't have to be on weekly basis either.) - Talking 135.267 un-scheduled ops I assume.
Be glad they are "scheduling" day(s) off for you. Many smaller ops may wait to last hour of say day 5 and say we have nothing scheduled day 6 or the schedule is covered for day 6 - take day 6 off. Report back for day 7.
Good luck.
