Part 135 Proving Runs

I heard of an NPRM a few months back that was going to revamp the requirements for Part 135 Proving Runs.

Basically, it was supposed to eliminate having to do the proving runs for every new airplane type. You would just have to do them for each group like Multi-Engine Turboprop, or Multi-Engine jet.

I understand it was supposed to go into effect in June, but haven't heard anything recently.

Part 91 Subpart K for the fractionals is supposed to come out sometime this summer and there are associated changes to 135, maybe that's what you're referring to?

The press will be about the Subpart K addition, so keep an eye out for that.
