Hello to all, I am commuting out of Philadelphia and trying to find a good place to park the car, any ideas? Thanks.

I do not commute but several guys up here in SYR commute out of PHL and from what I understand is they all use the long term parking. None of them have been able to convince the PHL parking people that they are based there so they can't get a pass. Before 911 some would park in the UPS lotn on the far side (however sometimes its locked) because they use UPS to SYR.

I think your only other option for free parking is to park away from the airport and use public trans. ( www.septa.com )

A long shot would to be to get to know someone at Atlantic Av. and park there.

One last free parking option would be to leave your car on Essington Ave. (around the hotels) the locals love that and will take good care of it for you, wink wink. I herd that a few months ago they found a US Air Express tug parked in back of rowhomes in south philly.

Also if your close to Trenton TTN Shuttle Am/Chit Taco or colgan flys Scaab 340 out of there to PIT the parking is free. However my parent's nieghbor who lives in the area said he been burnt on them 6 out of 10 times he flew out of TTN. This info current as of last week when I was home before I left on vacation.

A couple of years ago I was going to fly out of PHL to Sun N Fun, and I didn't want to leave my car at the airport (or hot car "supermaket", if you will) so I parked up on Market Street at 30th Street Station around back, and took the Septa train to the airport.

I think the 30th Steet lot has better supervision than the huge, desolate lot at the airport. It worked out just great.
