Republic or MidAtlantic crew?

Hey guys,
This has been addressed a few other places. As far as we've all heard, the brake handle was in the off position. Our crews have had a recurring problem with the brake remaining set after the handle is released. Just my $.02 before everyone rails on these guys....

Puttin

Puttin4,
That may be true but I'm guessing you noticed the brakes were still set prior to trying to take off (much less taxi). Either the geewiz computer reapplied the parking brake in flight or the pilots did. They did a good job of maintaining runway centerline though so at least the problem wasn't compounded. Could've been a lot worse.

Not sure, but I thought this one had something to do with the crew trying to fool the ACARS because the ACARS is somehow linked to the parking brake...

That doesn't really make sense to me.

Or might it be linked to the parking brake?

You are correct, it might have indeed been the parking "brake" .... Good catch smarta$$ ... :D

Since it's spelled incorrectly on the title of the thread I will blame it one the thread starter.

Ok, then I will blame it ON the thread starter!

Great pictures....Does anybody have any detail on how this happened?

It must be an Embraer product fault. We had the same thing happen to a Brasilia years ago in ROA. Can't recall what happened to the crew involved. The skid marks were very visible the following day when I landed there.
