According to SWA, as of April first, all employees will be dropped off at the terminal side and all will have to go through normal security checkpoints.
According to our contract (pilot) we are to be dropped off at the C-Spine crewroom. The parking lot will become a non-secure parking lot. Has there been a side letter signed to allow this?
Anyone have any info on this?

They haven't told us anything but I park there. Let's hope it's not true or there is a "Crew Caveat". Is Delta getting the same treatment?

I can see the 2 hour call out for reserves being an issue but where does it say in our contract about being dropped off at C-spine?

Surely it is a joke. This is too backasswards even for SWA! Even ASA busses their folks into concourses. For the OSW guys, where are you bussed to at your domicile?

Phred

Just wait until the time when the trains are out of service for the night when you get back at 0100 in the morning after a delayed flight.....nice long walk to get the bus. How do the RSW pillots get from parking to the operations in MCO? Do you get dropped off inside of the SIDA area?

No...we are forced to ride the third world death machine, fun bus, or also known as the employee shuttle. That is the worst thing about being based in MCO...

From what I have gathered, this is just for the folks who don't have a SIDA badge. That first lot is for non SIDA badged employees and will go to the main terminal. The rest of us in the lower lots will still go to C concourse. Hence, the new guard shack location. That is the latest I got from the driver.
