Keep in mind, my parents know the pains of being an airline pilot..the low pay, low return-on-investment, instability..

I called them today to catch up, asked when they were going to visit, etc. They said, "Actually, we are flying out in October! There is an airline that flies direct from Bellingham to Columbus!"

Yikes!

So have you picked your new parents yet? ;)
 
No, just tell them with all the money they saved, they can take a taxi to their hotel room when they visit you...
 
Interesting how I can't find any more $10 fares until past October. I looked at San Francisco to Columbus yesterday for the beginning of July and the fare is $300+. As I kept changing months I found that the prices slowly go down to about $75 before they stop displaying.

Remeber when Virgin failed to get DOT approval, well they had to do something with the planes they already had. They short leased some of them so some revenue would come in. I remember seeing an article or something on it.
