Hey all,
I know a few people on this board have the Panther CAT headsets, so please help if ya can.

First off, I have the mono model, but once they finalize the stereo models, they'll be sending me a pair.

My first question is about noise. I'm a flight instructor in a Cessna 172/152/172RG and it seems like I always get this low drone noise coming in. Especially when I turn my head.

Second is about the mike. I have my gain control in the box turned about halfway up....way more than what Panther recommended, but that seemed like what I needed so the mike will pick up my voice...and I still always feel like I have to talk really loud so my students and me can hear myself. Anyone have this problem?
Thanks

First it might sound like the molds aren't seated well.. I do a lot of testing for panther and they have some pretty interesting stuff coming out.

Is the drone engine noise or electrical noise. If it's electrical call Jerry down at panther and tell him what radios you use. He will just probably send you a shielded wire. It's a simple fix.

If the droning is engine noise then it's probably a bad ear mold.

It sounds though that you might need an amplifier in the box that the headset plugs into so that your voice is picked up louder. Have you tried turning the gain all the way up?

Drop me a PM i should be able to help you more but Jerry is the man to talk to. If any other questions pop up let me know.

Oh and PS panther isn't crap. They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. I was a customer at first and was really pleased with their product support.

First off, Capt. Tex, I'm not interested in hearing your bullsh!t. Keep it to yourself. And if you can't do that, then put it back into your as$.
<off soapbox>

I've talked to Jerry at Panther a couple of times and he is a great person to work with. Even their receptionist is nice.

Anyway, Diesel I'll be PMing you.
Thanks
