Sorry for beating a dead horse but its like watching a train wreck. I heard they were shuting down PSM completely Jan 1 05 any truth to the rumor?

Might be somewhat hard to do. The Jetstreams use PSM for their main maint base. That is their only maint base. They have nowhere else to go.

As for the 727s, if they ever get them going again (only 1 in operation now), that would be easier to do. Most of the maint folks/support/rampers, etc have been laid off. I'm told Sanford FL is barely staffed for anything.

I thinks they (BMA) are waiting for the Court of Appeals ruling on the ALPO lawsuit that imposed an injunction on them (BMA). I have no idea what timetable that may be; but I can tell you BMA is not much thought of in a favorable way in the Portsmouth, area. Travel agents in the area scoff at them; the general public is in no mood to re-book on them either. They are losing a lot of potential FL traffic this season by not flying.

But, it was their choice.

From last Fridays Portsmouth Herald newspaper, today (Dec 7) is the day for the US Court of Appeals to hear BMA vs ALPO. BMA is of course appealing the lower courts injunction decision.

The case will be heard today, but I don't think a ruling will be made. My legal friends tell me a decision comes several weeks down the road.

This Friday will be four weeks since the big furloughs for the pilots/ FEs/FAs/etc. Some of them that I keep in contact with are losing hope(!) in being recalled soon. Almost all are now looking for jobs. I know that I am moving on, not putting any hope(!) in getting back on with those bunch of crooks!

At least the weather is very nice here in FL.

BMA will fly scheduled?

It appears that BMA will indeed be able to run the 72 on a schedule between city pairs not already served by PAA? Am I correct in assuming this by virtue of the proposed schedule they have posted?

ExhaustGas:

I believe you are correct. BMA is waiting for the decision from the Court of Appeals. Once that is made, it should clarify where BMA will go and if they can go.

I'm no legal expert, and I think we have all seen courts do strange things.
