Any had a bad experience with Pan Am International flight academy in Miami, FL? Before you waste your money at that worthless place, do your research. Check with Miami BBB to see what type of business they are runing. What a rip off.

Basically stay away from those big ripoff flight schools! You don't need them, I know I'm paying for it now!!!

I agree with Joe. I started my flight training at Pan Am many moons ago, and it didnt take me very long to realize what it was all about. I quickly left while I still had enough money in the bank to finish up my flight training elsewhere.

I know several students that spent in between $15,000 - $20,000 JUST for their Private rating! Hardly ANYone finishes the PPL in under 100 hours! And these guys were above average intelligence, and they seemed squared away when I flew with them. It's not a personal pilots ability that hinders him as much as the way the program is structured, that takes one so long to finish a rating.

Plus, getting charged half hour briefing BEFORE and AFTER a flight when in reality you never see a minute of briefing time, that starts to burn a hole in the pocket after while! Nothing but a money farm.

If your interested in more info, go over to JetCareers.com message board and check out what they have to say about it there.

PAIFA had great airplanes and great instructors! I should now I flew their for awhile. Nice area and can't go wrong with Huricanes wings and beer!!!!
