Palm OS vs Pocket PC

I am thinking of switching from Palm OS to a Dell Axim PPC, anyone have any comments on which they like better, expecially if you have used both? Also, if anyone out there has used the PPC version of Airline Pilots Daily Logbook for PPC, I would appreciate any comments. My only complaint is that the PPC version doesn't copy the flight to your datebook. THanks for your help.

I've got a Dell Axim (from when they first came out) and am happy with it. The only negative is that it runs a Windows OS, and just like with your home computer occaisionally crashes.
Pocket PCs seem to be bit more versatile then the Palms.
I just use excel for my flight times, so don't know anything about the logbook software.

i just got an hp ipaq 3115 and i love it. i'm using the trial verson of apdl and so far it's great.

I've worked for 3Com on the palm a few years back and I've owned both PalmOS and PocketPC (currerntly I have an IPaq). I would have to say that although the PalmOS is slightly more stable, it does not have the support that Windows Mobile does. Also, on the desktop MS ActiveSync seams far more stable than the Palm Hotsync software and integrates better with Outlook and other popular PIM packages. The Palm Desktop software I have found to be rather crude and unstable. The bottom line though is that if you will probably have a better experience with a Windows based PDA, however the Palm still is not a "bad" machine.

T-Mobile PDA/Worldphone

If anyone is looking for a Windows Pocket PC PDA / Cellphone i'm selling mine on Ebay. The only reason i'm selling it is because T-Mobile doesnt have adequate coverage in the area where I moved.

The phone is terrific. Coolest thing I ever had. T-Mobile had a deal where, for $20 per month, (above the cost of the plan) I could get unlimited internet. I could browse the internet anywhere. Download weather maps on the ramp, check my schedule, look at Brittany Spears naked... anything.

Sync'd up with Microsoft Outlook at home so I kept my work schedule on it. Since my whole outlook address book was shared on the device, it was one-click to call anyone.

I have a collapsable keyboard for it somewhere. If I find it i'll include it in the package to whoever wins the auction. Good luck!
