For those of you who are real geeks. Check out the Palm i705. It handles all of the organizing tasks flawlessly. More importantly, the wireless connection to the Cingular network is great. With a $9.95/month program I get all sorts of aviation related info. Check out www.weatherclip.com
I am not associated with them but think that it is pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** slick! I am even able to connect while flying most of the time.

Software availability for the Pocket PC used to be a problem, but this is no longer the case with its increasing popularity. Check out www.skymarktechnologies.com. They have a very good E6B (the Flight Calc) available for the Pocket PC. Also, Logbook Pro is about to release a PPC companion.

I have written spreadsheet programs for many of the different tasks that I need while flying, such as weight & balance, performance, fuel tracking, next FL, etc.

There is a program for Palm OS called Sheet to Go. It is basically Microsoft Excel for your Palm. It imports and exports between itself and MS Excel. I use it all the time and it is great. Before I saw that program, I was considering an IPaq too because of the ability to use Excel.

That URL doesnt load for some reason.

It really depends on what you need it for. I would recommend the Compaq iPAQ, just for the great GPS/moving map software that is available for it. Check out www.controlvision.com to find out more about this. If you just want a place to put fone numbers, addresses, etc. a Palm device is more than adequate.

Windows® Pocket PC 2002??

Are there any log book programs that use the Windows® Pocket PC 2002 OS?? Thinking about getting the Toshiba Pocket PC e310. Has anyone used that one?

Are there any em interference issues with using a PDA while in flight? Has anyone had a problem doing this?

A friend has recommended the Compaq to me.
