I have a need to get three airplanes painted and am looking for any referals you guys could offer for good quality and fairly priced paint shops in the Southeast USA. Any ideas?

We used a guy in Wetumpka, Al, just north of KMGM for two airplanes (a C-195 and T-6). The results were acceptable and he was way cheaper than other folks. The downside is that he takes forever, and isn't exactly easy to deal with. He had a great guy running his shop that was trying to buy the biz. but the owner was trashing the operation.

I'm not sure I'd go back without a performance contract of some kind.

There is a paint shop in Carrolton, Ga, I believe and their work (when I last saw some, several years ago) was great.

What kind of a/c you having painted?

I have not heard good things about the AL operation either. I know some Yak guys who had lots of issues with them.
