run, run as fast as you can.

I did this in a King Air and a Citation.....never again. Be at Home Depot stocking shelves first.

Be careful!!!

A friend of mind (high time ex chief pilot type) was paid to babysit a lowtime Dr. who owned a C550 in the MI area. He flew a couple of trips and said "No thanks". The guy kept on trying to kill him and would not listen at all.

I'm not saying all pilot/owners are like this, but be very careful.

Good luck,
SCT

Owner Pilots

I am with G200 on this one. RUN!!!!!!

I did it for 5 years. and believe me, when He runs his King Air - 200 out of gas and wads it up in the desert, the FAA will want to talk to you even though you were not even there this time!!!!

They dont listen as a general rule, and when their ticket gets suspended, they might expect you to let them fly in the left seat on yours.

I had one that actualy wanted to learn, but he was rare.

I've flown with two different owner/operators. One was actually a very good stick, and above all, humble about his capabilities. He went to recurrent twice a year and tried to live down the owner/operator stereotype.

The other - GOD HELP US ALL - let's just say he had three prop strikes in the course of one year. And, that was in the plane he had lots of time in.

Like the others, RUN RUN RUN. You will find you get the blame for everything that happens to the plane even if you are not flying. I was awakened in the middle of the night by a former employer (owner/pilot) and was told I just landed at the local airport and blew a tire and he could not figure out why I left the plane on the side of the runway. I was told to get up and take care of the problem quickly. It is not a fun situation. Should you choose it, best of luck. Remember one thing though, C Y A at all times....
