Just found out I have to go out of the country in approx. 1 month and that the customs overflight exemption takes about 6 months to process. Does anyone know of any short-cuts or expediting/processing services?

Thanks

Assuming you have at least one passenger aboard the aircraft that is listed on the overflight (i.e. Flight Attendant) you are covered. The pilots do not count, but must be listed as crewmembers. We keep our dispatchers listed on the Overflight for exatcly this type of situation. Depending on where you are going, you may be able to recieve a Pre-Clearnace from Customs (but only inthe US Virgin Islands). Other than pleading with the Senior Inspector in charge of your port, these are your choices.

We usually get our term overflight exemptions approved within a mo. ( the listed minimum) and a single overflight usually within 10 days (15 working days) listed as a minimum. Our port doesn't get alot of aircraft, but is a major shipping port. Is this what NetJets is telling you?

CAN NOT BE A FLIGHT ATTENDANT ..........we list our flight attendant as a inflight coordinator....flight attendant is crewmember so does not count

Ruhroa....that totally depends on the inspector who is going to clear you upon return to the US. The guys at TEB and HPN all know the game most of us play by adding our flight attendants or scheduler/dispatcher personnel to the overflight exemption. They let it go through, because they are decent people, and we have worked with them for many years. If you try and do this at a place where you are not known, you may run into a roadblock. However do NOT po-poo this , as it totally depends on the location and inspector.

pmvulp......

I think the way it is written the over flight is applicable to passengers and is not allowed if nobody on the passenger list is on the overflight list........(exception for empty aircraft with crewmember on list ) ie listing the the ifc as a passenger not a flight crew member ....no poo poo here always like it when i think something and then learn something ............

True. NetJets lists all owners on overflight permits. At least ONE of the listed owners must be onboard and manifested on the flight.

Okay you got me. I should have sid Cabin Attendant, not Flight Attendant. We usually operate with a true "Flight Attendant" and there they MUST be listed as passegners as they have not received the proper certifcation to become crew members.
