I hope your right, but a company settling because they are afraid of the incoming Union Rep's. I really doubt they will. I supspect they will do the same thing they did with Airtran. Which is give a pay raise not a big one but not a small one and gut the QOL language. Once the pilots see this they will either vote yes for it or vote it down. Then we spend the next two years in Mediation getting junk TA after another. Remember, Ford and Harrison are running the show the board just gives them direction... But, I hope your right and I am wrong...

Based on your previous posts, I thought you were going back to United? Did you decide to stay at Spirit?

I think our new union reps will do a great job, but I don't think we should intentionally drag out these negotiations if the company is willing to give us a fair deal.

The company will probably be willing to give us a fair deal on our contract just to avoid the headacke of dealing with the new angry union. This is leverage that can be used by the current negotiating team.

Why aren't you going back to NWA? Just wondering.

Are you guys sure they were fired????

I heard that both of them were only demoted and throwing bags on the ramp in FLL... They should be back at Spirit in a week or two....

They would be more helpful as dedicated marshalers it would save the company thousands of dollars, since most do not single engine taxi.

TA soon?

Anyone else happen to notice that the neg. committee email claimed they had TAs on retirement and scheduling chapters? Only one's left are compensation, insurance, and duration. Sure seemed to move quick.

Where should we start the bets that pref. bidding is in the TA?

Had dinner the over night with matt n. and he was all for PBS and claims that 4 days between pairings hurt us. They also claim they wanted pay to up near southwest but at the same time I can see work rules going out the window. They seemed to think they can finish before they are out.
