I'm new to using forums and this one is all I've worked with. It has served me well. I learned about PFT here and that helped push me along to get my CFI just in time before getting that 30k loan. I learned about where/how to knock out commercial single/multi at the same time with the little money I have. Basically, flightinfo (or the people I've chatted with here) is pretty much responsible for where I am right now and I'd probably be totally screwed had I never come here. So, anyway...Could someone please tell me about some other forums that people find as useful as this one.
THANKS

www.atccti.com, in case you're looking about switching to ATC instead of flying for a career.

What's up with all the Riddle nerds switching to ATC lately? Tired of flying already?

wow. good one. first off, i'm not a riddle nerd. i graduated from denison university in May of 2005 w/ a BS in biology, and a minor in chemistry. the reason that i was considering going to ATC in lieu of flying for a living is b/c i am a very family-oriented guy. i don't want to be gone all the time like airline pilots and frac guys are. with ATC, i may work some screwy hours and some holidays, but i'll be working 40 hour weeks and will be home. i will make enough money to eventually buy my own plane so i can keep flying, but i'll be able to be home every night.

any more questions? or are you just gonna keep being an jerk?

Explain yourself. I have a querky sense of humor but this is not nice.
he didn't mean anything by it. this is what FN FAL is into. he likes guns and flying. you asked for other forums, he gave some to you. in all honesty, you didn't really specify aviation forums, though one might interpret that from the rest of your post :)

I got one... (not an a-hole question - sorry)

Are you going back to school for ATC, or taking some other route?

Just thought the assault guns were a little threatning. No big deal.
Yes, AVIATION FORUMS.

marine, i was looking at doing a CTI program at one of the 13 schools that do it. i was thinking going through the Community College of Beaver County, since it's semi-close to home. the way that i understand it, since the CTI program is originally an associates program, and i already have a 4 year degree, i don't have to take classes like english, since i already have! i was thinking i could hammer the course out in a semester or 2, at most. so instead of the associates degree, i'd get the school's recommendation, which is fine with me.

other than that way or doing the military route, i'm not sure what other options there are.

I was talking to a tower controller at PBI today, and he also has a charter gig w/ a king air on the side. Sounds pretty smart to me... Have the gov't job for bennies and stability, but still stay in the flying side of things.

my college had an all girl's dorm called Beaver Hall. not only that, but we're located in Licking County, Ohio. beat that :)
