It is possible that the Mesa BOD finally booted JO; or he left on his own. Either way, speculation has him headed for Spirit. Look out guys, you have no idea what's about to hit you. If, that is, this turns out to be true.

Double wammy: Other rumors have it that some scheduling chick named Yolanda recently bounced around a couple of box-haulers, screwed everything up, and is now headed for Spirit as well. This should be a red alert for all of you on the property. A Perfect Storm of scheduling B.S., lack of accountability, and zero concern for crew QOL is brewing on your back porch.

Good luck! Keep your head down, and your britches up.

He has been on our board for the past year, he pails in comparison to Bill Franke, who is a first rate Union Buster himself. Let JO come we will place a picture in the hall under all the other past DB Managers and Execs we have had here over the years.

If you see him in the hallway ask him how he sleeps paying his people nearly poverty wages to start, and then he and his pails ride around the country in Beechjet and Hawker shares he owns with a certain fractional in CGF.

This article has been tagged since July 2007. Jonathan Ornstein is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mesa Air Group, Inc. and was appointed effective May 1, 1998. From April 1996 to his joining the Company as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ornstein served as President and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Virgin Express, a European airline. From 1995 to April 1996, Mr. Ornstein served as Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Express Holdings, Inc. Mr. Ornstein joined Continental Express, as President and Chief Executive Officer in July 1994 and, in November 1994, was named Senior Vice President, Airport Services at Continental Airlines. Mr. Ornstein was previously employed by the Company from 1988 to 1994, as Executive Vice President and as President of the Company’s WestAir Holding, Inc. subsidiary.
A former stockbroker, Ornstein's license was revoked by the federal government. Over nine years, he bounced around around five firms, getting fired, from several. Why? A lengthy disciplinary record — the official printout is 21-feet long — charging unauthorized trading, misrepresentation, document alteration and churning. Eventually, Ornstein was fined $20,000 and suspended as a broker for three years.

he ain't mexican dude. I can't believe you would insult the mexican people like that. (lol)

Yes they would be offended. I do know he is not Mexican, but that is what he was called (or at least we called him). Mad does fit him.
