So,

I'm coming back from a personal vacation trip. My car is parked in primo parking, as the company will cover this expense.. so I parked in the good lot near the front door.. <grin>..

I load up the car and notice a ticket on the windshield.. its for $50 for failure to display a front bumper license plate... .. now mind you.. this is on a jeep and the car is pulled way forward to to the parking bumper... Whoever checked the car had to get out of their vehicle and straddle the cars bumper to get around the garage columns...to see that one wasn't displayed... WTF??

THEN... paying at the cashier I pulled into the stall/gate to take care of the $75.00 parking charge.. the girl tells me to back up, because the camera didn't get a good read of my back plate.. ?

Turns out the Mayor has them run the plates to see if anyone 'owes' outstanding parking tickets/other... If you do, they bust you there or KEEP your vehicle...

Nice CAPTIVE audience...  :(

His'oner is on to you. Careful what you say about him. He may bulldoze your house in the middle of the night, not unlike CGX.

Wait. The mayor of Chicago is anti-aviation? ;)

What happened to you is lousy. Is Chicago really that broke that they need to harass people? Kind of like all the taxes on a Chicago Cubs ticket. It's just not right.

Boy, that is really a racket. Really Gestapo tacticts.

What is the city doing with all the money? They sure are not putting it into roads.

I am new here and I figure the Meigs field story has been beaten like a dead horse, but there should have been leagal action taken against the Mayor and or the city.

haha, he'll carve X's in your forehead for national security reasons :P

Believe it or not, Demolition "Dick" Daley's destruction of CGX was 100% legal......but he is still a c0cksucker. The city wholly owned Meigs and believe it or not, a Chicago mayor did something w/o breaking any laws. However, he is still a piece of $hit and hopefully gets ousted out of office soon.

Don't get me started on the corrupt mother F"r

anyways, California is bad about that kind of stuff too. We love Arnie but the state gov was running adds in the papers a few months back saying that if you knew neighbors or anyone living in california with out of state plates to turn them in so they would be ticketed and then have to register their vehicals. Kinda a bunch of crap.
You have 2 weeks to register your car under california law. BS!!!

Anyways, Daley is a prick!

Shouldn't this thread be under the new forums?
