Well they did it!

I got sprayed in the face/eyes 2 days ago in ORD at F2, and I am out for a week on OJI, the medics at ORD say this happens once a day at ORD during deicing times of the year, WTF?

When is sh!t gonna change in Chicago?

I hate the place!

That sucks, how did you get hit in the face with it?

Just walkin out to my A/C and the plane next to mine was getting a type 1 bath and the guy was careless and it was quite windy, I got a bunch in my eyes, it was quite painful for an hour or so til the medics flushed my eyes with their special equipment, apparently the fluid is acidic, and it didnt do any perminent damage to my eyeballs, but it did burn my eyelids. So I am off with pay for a week, someone it gonna sue someone there one of these days.

Wow, 5 years of working at ORD and that's the first I've heard of a pilot getting it in the face. That sucks.

Always have to have your head on a swivel at ORD.

glad it didn't do any permanent damage...
