Does anyone know how to contact Erik Gerhard?
I have been trying to get an interview and he seams to be the man.

I don't work for Options and I don't know Erik other than seeing his name on this forum occasionally but I have to stick up for him a little - my question is - is he a moron AND he doesn't return calls or is he a moron BECAUSE he doesn't return phone calls???? I would imagine there are hundreds if not thousands of out of work people triing to get in touch with him in hopes of getting an interview. I doubt he has the time to return every phone call. Give the guy a break.

Disclaimer - If he really is a moron because of other things disregard the above paragraph :)

"Good luck, he's a moron that does not return calls."

Do you know eric? I bet you dont.....he has over 12000 resumes and thousands more on the web site. i dont hink he can return all mesages....DO you?

You are either a Pissed becase you didnt get hired or no one is dumd engough to walk in your resume. And why would not is a mystery to me....you seem to have such a GREAT F%^&*ng attitud.

you sir are the moron.

the rest of you fly safe

Eric does not have time to return phone calls, period.

Resumes are flooding in so fast that an outside resume agency now takes care of collecting, sorting and forwarding resumes to FO. All resumes are submitted on line now. If you sent your resume in by means other than the online service you should re-submitt.

Did someone from Options recommend you? If not, forget it.

If this is true, then why don't they post it on their website as part of their minimum qualifications? Bastages!

Well, that is the way it is. If you do not know someone from Options and get them to recommend you, forget it. Now you know.

As far as letting you know via other means, on of the aviation journals had a bit on fractional hiring stating the options hires based on line pilot recommendations.

Eric does the work of about three people, so it's no wonder he doesn't call you back. He doesn't even return employee's phone calls, so it tells you he doesn't really have the time.

Eric is a good guy, he's definitely no moron. If you think he is because he doesn't return your phone calls, I suggest you quit applying with us. You won't fit in anyway, even if you did pass the interview. Good riddance.

I met Eric in an interview once and let me tell you. If anyone thinks he is a moron they dont know him very well. He is one guy with his act together. I have rarely in my life seen anyone with such knowledge and a passion to see a business furtherence itself as he does with FO. I'm looking forward to being part of the team soon.

You guys are incredible He won’t call me back either so what. Time for a different approach. How about a BarB-Q at FMY for Options only pilots I’ll serve Tell Erik to hire Rik pulled pork, Hand delivered resume chicken sandwich or my personal favorite baby back, I will make Erik chase me from his office because he is tired of hearing me refer Rik for a job ribs…

No No No ...... Simply put have BBQ and refer Me the cook. Sounded like a good idea while I was drinking but now? Time to start drinking again

Eric is simply to busy and resumes to numerous. If your resume qualifies, Eric will call you. Pestering and hounding him will not get you an interview. Once your recommendation is in along with the name of the recommending line pilot, be patient. Remember, if you do noy have a line pilot willing to recommend you, do not expect a call.

Walk in resumes are not welcome, not even from the line pilots.

For those that are waiting the call, FO is hiring. A new class began this week.

Mostly King Air, Beechjet, and CJ. Although a few have gotten into the Hawker or Citation 3.

quick question....is erik gerhard the chief pliot? i don't know anyone at FO, but i'd like to send in a resume and keep my fingers crossed that i could get a call. just want to know who to address the cover letter to. looking for the name, with correct spelling and their title....thanks

Eric is not the Chief Pilot. He is the pilot recruiter. And whatever you do, do not fax him or send him a resume. It will be deposited into File 13 once it arrives.

The only way Eric will look at a resume anymore is if it's sent through the online application process at flightoptions.com, no exceptions. It's my understanding he got rid of all the paper resumes on his desk and started from scratch with the online applications. If you had a paper resume with him, it's gone. Re-submit it again online. Good luck.

hey thanks, i wasn't going to mail in my stuff. the online application has a space for the resume and cover letter.
i just wanted to know if i had the spelling and title correct.
Erik or Eric Gerhard
Pilot Recruiter
????? thanks again

Eric.

Human Resources, Pilot Recruitment, Jack of All Trades, you pick it. I don't know his exact title, he could have one of several. If you send anything, it'll be passed along to him.

Sour

Chop, I am certainly not sour for being an FO w/8000k, infact I have more jet PIC time than your total time. And we all make our choices on where we fly don't we?
Anyway back to Eric, I just think it is funny how guys on this board almost idolize these yahoos that are in charge of hiring and so forth.
As for the the other dude that replied, no I have not applied to FO nor do I intend to, though I am sure that it is a fine position to have. Best of luck to all who wish to be there.

I don't think anyone here idolizes Eric. They were just telling the guys that think he's some kind of idiot that they are wrong. If you could meet the guy he is a super nice guy. So for someone to say that he is an idiot without meeting him is either bitter that they didn't get hired or hasn't gotten a call. It took me two years to get the call and get hired. I never once thought any bad things about the guy.

I am a pilot here. Have met him. Still think he's an idiot! He's so biased and up the company's ass it's ridiculous! Kenn is gone and he is still a butt kisser!!!
Keep trying guys.
If you have sent a resume in, do it again with the online application. He has **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** canned ALL of the paper resumes on his desk. Well that is the latest word anyway.

Good luck to all!
