If the Inspectors don't wish to follow a legal interpitation you can call the regional office and ask for a list of regulations each FSDO in that region does follow so you know when to change compliance with geograhpical location....... That should peak their intrest

or just call: 1-866-TELL-FAA (1-866-835-5322) and explain your concern to the recording. You don't even have to tell them your name. Each call must be answered to the next highest office in the food chain and the answer is a required paper record so if your congressman(woman) needs a copy.......
