I did the American Flyers On-Line program... Honestly, it is very poorly done, but I signed up for it 2 years ago and they offered a $100 CFI-for-Life program which lets me renew for life at no cost, and since my company reimbursed me for the original $100 I got it free...

They really need to redo the program, it is poorly written and full of speeling and grammical errors (a lot like my posts)... BUT it does renew the ticket, and that was my end goal...

did the Jeppesen online renewal last summer. Very good, IMO. can't remember the costs or terms. Go to their website and see for yourself.

i did gleim for one renewal, and american flyers the next time. american flyers is lifetime but i'm going back to gleim or pehaps jeppesen. am flyer poor content, and slow, with their "clock hours" method of assuring you spend 16 hours "in class"
they call a certificate a "license" and charts "plates" (pet peeves)

American Flyers was what I used back in July to renew (I also started a similar thread around that time). The course sucked, but you can't beat $100 for lifetime renewal.

The American Flyers program has 6 stage exams...

The time issue isn't a big deal, if you are clever! ;)

I tried leaving it logged on when I went to sleep, and was dissapointed to find that the clock had stopped ticking about 15 minutes after I left the computer. Seemed that they automatically logged you out if you stopped scrolling or interacting....did you find a way around this?

No, but lets just say there is a way to go "Back to the Future"...
