My charter company has decided to train me in the falcon 10 for part 91 trips. My question is as follows; Can I log PIC time for the time that *I* fly, i.e. my leg? Can I log PIC during my flight training since I will be the sole manipulator?

r u typed?

If you are typed, you could log PIC, without the type any PIC time would be a false logbook entry.

PIC

With just a Part 91 qualification and without a type NO.

With a Part 135 form 8410 in the aircraft, there are differences of opinion. According to Letters of Interpretation issued by FAA legal, yes you can. BUT, even with copies of your 8410 and the Letters of Interpretation it would be difficult to explain. Especially to a HR person who only knows what looks normal.

Take it from there.

I logged NONE of my training time, since I was "appropriately rated" for NEITHER crew position. I could have logged "flight time" but I chose not to do so.

You CAN log sole manipulator time on part 91 legs, but I would do so only AFTER becoming a required crewmember. I'd also clearly put PART 91 in big letters on the comment line when doing so.

And as Falcon Cpt said, only do this when you are typed in the aircraft. When you do your type, ask for a PIC ride for a PIC 8410.
