How come the Falcon 2000 EX salary is so much more than the Falcon 2000? I know the range is about 3800nm in EX but still can't figure it out.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but looking through the contract, the difference between a class 3 aircraft (2000) and class 4 (2000EX) is that the 2000EX has "reliable transatlantic capability" whereas the straight 2000 does not. I'm not certain about that but the difference in range could be the reason the 2000EX is bumped up to a class 4 aircraft.

I think I see why know. It may be the difference in class. The large operators have so many different types to distinguish. I just thought the difference was pretty steep.

We gave the company a break. Thats why Falcon 2000 is so much lower than the 2000EX.

Now what you don't understand is that is takes 12 yrs or so before you get to the Falcon 2000EX.

So the yr one pay you see is really Yr 13 or so.

Keep in mind that the pay here is by SENIORITY... when you read the pay plan.

With few exceptions... All of the Year one 2000EX pilots are senior to ALL of the most senior 2000 Pilots.

I am guessing I am 5 yrs away from the 2000EX. At yr 14 when I move over... my pay will remain about the same going from a Yr 14 2000PIC to Yr ONE 2000EX PIC.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Are you saying if it takes 3 years to upgrade at NetJets, you go from 3rd yr FO pay to 1st year captain pay not 3rd year captain pay? Or is this what happens when you transfer from NetJets to NetJets International?

The aircraft in class 1 - 3 pay by years of service, no matter which seat you are in. If you move into a class 4 or 5 aircraft, those payrates are based on your years of service in that category aircraft. So if you upgrade in 3 years in a class 1 aircraft, you are getting year 3 Captain pay. Say you transition into a class 4 aircraft after ten years with the company - you go to year 1 pay on the class 4 aircraft payscale.

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply. Just waiting to receive the app. Have referals/recommendations from 3 NetJets pilots. Excited to get out of the Part 121 nightmare.
