About two weeks ago I was offered an interview over the phone by the chief pilot.I was told I would need to pay for my own air travel to and from the company . I arrived fully prepared for the sim eval written test and went over everything I had for the interview.after lunch I was brought in to Todd Klevgaards off ice and told that my interview went "fine" and that HR needed to do my background check before he offered me the class. I felt this was alittle weird but I had no choice to believe him. I have no issues at all in my background tickets violations etc so I felt pretty good.Todd even told me to call after a week if I hadnt heard back looking at me straight in the face. so a week goes by and I put 3 calls into his voicemail with no response then recieve a thanks but no thanks letter 2 days later. this is totally chicken sh@#$ . Aviation is a small community I WILL not forget this!! Before you decide to flame remember this could be any of you

Your experience is SOP at Omni. I got the same run around and kept calling for 2 months, before I got a class date back in 2002-03. I only stayed there 13 months. It seems like it's one big game at Omni and you have to really know how to play. In the long run, you're better off.

There are far better positions out there from what I have heard. Forget it and find a better gig. You will be thankful that you skipped Omni when you do.

I went through this BS 6 or 7 yrs. ago. Offered interview at hotel, Southcenter WA, where they stay while training at Alteon.

They didn't make the hotel reservation they said they would. The interviewer was about an hour late. Thought it went OK. He said overnight the PRIA & other paperwork, like something was gonna happen soon.

No calls, no response. Called numerous times.

I don't know what the story is with Todd. We were in the same class of new hires at N7.

Can't have soft skin in this industry. Get over it, move on and find yourself a better gig.

They hired me on the spot with an almost immediate class date. I had to turn them down though 2 days prior to start as I was awarded captain at my previous gig. I felt bad turning them down especially with no notice. Todd and the Omni gang seemed legit to me. Admitting and apologizing in advance for the lack of pay and schedules which is what they did, earns my respect.
