I'm taking a little break from a mountain of 135 paperwork.

Although it will be a long time until our company needs a callsign, I want to see who has the best idea.

Let's hear your suggestions for night cargo callsigns.

The funnier, the better.

The first thing we need to know is what the name of the company is. We also need to know where you are based, and what cargo you carry. With this information, I'm sure we could come up with something.

BoxHawk

"bat"

"fatigued"

"scudrunner"

or from my screen name, the company I flew freight for used the name "rattler"...because that's what the planes did.

.

RedBull

How about - I'M GOING TO BE PI$$ED OFF IF YOU TURN ME MORE THAN A MILE FROM THE MARKER - a little lengthy, but it might get you first in line (probably last).

"Approach, I'm going to be pi$$ed off if you turn me more than a mile from the marker flight 469 at 5,000, Juliet".

Great for a freight company, might be a touch long though.

I got one

I got one....... Especially nice if you fly for Martha Stewart

"CONAIR"

I think that one's taken :)

Doesn't the FBI use that callsign when making prisoner transports? I guess i watch to many movies :)

How about "Batman", "Superman", or "Fatman" ?

I like Fatman :)

Nightowl
Sleepless
Midnight
Twilight
Abyss
Vault (this depends if you're hauling checks)
Odyssey
Overnight
Late Night
Eclipse
ThisSucks (more from the pilot's view, not you as management/owner)
Letterman (as in, Late Night with...)
Insomniac
Warped
Goldmine (better from an owner's point of view, ha)

I like the long one listed above, but ATC had better be turning me right AT the marker and don't even think about asking me to slow down.

......

So far, I like ramen and boxwhore best. Even though I can't use one of them.

Is 'boxcar' taken?

I wish there was a more elegant way to say something like 'ice magnet'.

Perhaps 'ugly duckling'? (Our plane)

Minnow (as in S.S. Minnow)?

Or, something like "anybody hiring"

Just noticedd on more 'boxhawk'. Perfect!

Is this in use anywhere?

Sounds a bit like 'boss hogg', though.

Hmmm. Boxhog?

I win.

W:p

How about "Pathfinder" or "Skid Mark."

How about "night crawler"? Simple and to the point.

How about

Whiskey Jack

well if you're gonna go down that road, why not use General Lee...

"XXX Approach, General Lee Flight123, level @ 5, with indigo...YEEEE HAAAAWWWW"

Freight dog
