NTSB Report Released On Last Year's Plane Crash In Jenks
We are learning more about a small plane crash that killed a Tulsa oilman, his wife and their granddaughter last year.
Federal investigators say an inadequate pre-flight inspection failed to make sure the engine's oil cap was secure.
The Cessna crashed in a Jenks neighborhood in August 2004. Richard Dunham, his wife Debra, and 15-month-old Abigail Dunham were killed.
The report says apart from the missing oil cap, investigators found nothing with the plane. It crashed just minutes after takeoff when Dunham reported oil leaking on the windshield.
He was trying to land when the plane went down.
