Non-aviation question: Does anyone have any insight to the OCS program in the Marines. I know that the age limit to start is 29. Is this correct and if so are there waivers at all. Thank you for your time.

Airborn,

All I can add to this request is that they do not give waivers for age. But, with recruiting being pretty low. That might become an option. I was an old devil dog going in to. I had a guaranteed air contract and had to be commissioned by my 27 and half birthday. I went to OCS at 27 and was commissioned 10 weeks later. Non flying OCS was 29 at day of commissioning during my tour. To get the answers you’re looking for call your local Marine Officer recruiting station. BEWARE...You might be talking to a NON-Comm recruiter and they will give you a song and dance on becoming a NON-COMM instead. Ignore them and find a MARINE OFFICER recruiting station.
