A Jacobs-powered Staggerwing (F17D).

Anyone else flown a PZL Wilga? It's the only airplane I've flown (so far) that's uglier than a Shorts. (in my humble opinion)

I saw a PZL Wilga a few weeks ago down in ABQ. I have to agree that it is a particularly ugly creature.

To njcapt: The reason I called it a 340 on steroids is because not many folks have seen a HS748. Nearly everyone knows the Saab. BTW... you should have flown the ATP when Air Willy had them. They were nice when they had APU's and coffee makers!

Cheers,

heres a few not yet mentioned
-Piaggio Royal Gull (Amphibious, twin engine pistion, reversible props!) only a handful still flying

-1940 Porterfield Collegiate LP-65 (performs like a tired J-3)

-Naval Aircraft Factory N3N-3, Similar to a stearman but all metal.

-Eagle 150B

-Belanca cruisemaster

-Aeronca C-3

-PT-13 (original stearman)

-Waco UPF

-Maule m-4

I got checked out in a AN2 Colt. 1000 HP radial and with top wing leading edge slats. Flaps on all wings and touched down at 30kts. And it had airbrakes, Just like a truck. Their helos had them also. There is a small pic in my profile.

I once flew a Mooney Alon Ercoupe from Hartford WI to pheonix AZ. Took me 4 days. This one did have rudders but they didn't steer it on the ground only in the air. The control wheel worked just like a car on the ground.
