I do the commute from BWI to JFK and back. Delta has 3-4 flights on a Mesa Dash 8. The reliability has actually gotten much better over the last 6 months. They are going to change it to an RJ in late August. American Eagle has one flight a day each direction.

LGA gives a lot more options to get to BWI. Weekdays there are flights starting at 630am and run every 2 hours or so. That is on Piedmont of Air Wisky.

I've never used EWR but Expressjet has several flights a day.

The commute has been stressful enough that I would give anything to trade an A320 job for a 737 job.

I was just kidding around, have never used them and between BWI and NYC have no idea what I am really talking about as far as airline commuting between those two markets. Just trying for a little humor from a soon to be rookie. Cheers!

I have taken amtrack several times between EWR and BWI. There are many different times available and it's about a 3 hour ride ... about the same as getting to the airport early, checking in, etc. Don't remember the cost but it wasn't too bad, plus you can always grab a bite to eat on the train. It'll take you right to the terminal in EWR or into Penn station or Union station (can't remember which).

The down side is the stop at "BWI" is over by the Grummen offices and you'll have to take a cab to get there if you park at the airport.

Hope it helps.
