How come every NWA pilots knows about the 1000 not yet hired pilots going ahead of me but Delta pilots can not get their head out of Moak's a$$ to see it? Oh wait your MEC is only telling you that we are thugs.

I'm with you dude. They pay us to do a job, wear the uniform they tell us to and fly expensive airplanes loaded with people's families. I hate the hat and being a military guy it still feels weird wearing it indoors but BFD, it's not too much to ask. I have to laugh when I see the slobs and the guys with backpacks on and ipods in who think they look really cool. The passengers are laughing too.

It's all good. 95% of this board is hot air. You see them coming a mile away. They try some ill informed line of reasoning, you beat them down, they come back with gun in hand, you beat them down, so they have to make fun of you for having the audacity to wear your hat in defiance of the company. Yeah, that'll show them. You see them on the Delta board as well. They are so stupid, they don't even have enough sense to shut up. Ya just need to pimp slap them every once and awhile :pimp:

If thats not a "POT MEET KETTLE" I dont know what is.:pimp:

Real Delta guy. Just in the minority over here. That will change when the NWA folks come over. Delta was not my first choice. Just the home town airline. My references told me the Delta pilots were weak when it came to standing up to management and they were absolutely right. The majority seem to think they are part of the management team and viewed as an asset. Management has and will slit our throats when the opportunity presents itself. Read the bankruptcy transcripts for clarification as to what management thinks of us. As for the hat, the passengers could care less. They want to arrive on time in a clean airplane. A ? for those who say the FOM says wear your hat. Ever violate sterile cockpit or read enroute? What does the FOM say about that? Looking forward to a shift in the balance of power at the bid D!!

Why don't you grow a pair and quit? Gutless.

Guess I had to rephrase.

More of that stage 3 of debate--complete resignation. Why don't you try and add something intelligent?

You mean like your attacks on everyone up to and including your own co-works (800dog) how is that for intelligent?

Why is it that you keep posting the same crap but can't seem to find any proof or put it in context? If I keep repeating NW wanted the top 1000 slots and DL to take the bottom 3000 does it make it true?

Hey, I can sling mud with the rest of them if that's what they want--meaning they drew first blood. I can do it with you as well. It's a kharma thang, a'ight? He went a sling'in, he got slung. I can understand the emotion, but ya git what ya give with me.

Well that's a mature attitude! I guess that's par for FI. We're all in this together, why not stop beating up on your fellow pilots and start working to improve things?

What part of my attitude is immature? That I don't defend my positions vehemently? Or that when somebody decides to play scorched earth, that I scorch back. I much prefer the former, but am not above the latter.

Additionally, when this is over, there will be no gloating from me if it goes a bit more my way, nor will there be sour grapes should seniority arbitration not be kind to Delta. I leave it all on the field, and then go for a beer. You want to debate, I'm all ears. You want to throw spears, throw one, and then it's on.

BTW, you are not allowed to use the moral high ground. Your flame history has already been established

Flame history? I debate issues also. And throw an occasional jab. But, I'm proud to be at NWA and will be proud to be at Delta. I want a fair SLI and voice an opinion, but I don't worry about it too much because it's mostly out of my control.

Moral high ground? I don't claim to be the moral authority on FI, but I certainly don't continuously attack and throw spears on just about every post.

Why do none of the Delta pilots respond to Moak's proposal to have 1000 pilots not even hired yet getting ahead of me on seniority?
Because it gets put in the same can that contains the rumor that would place the bottom 2000 pilots on the combined list from the DAL seniority!

I have an answer but it contains profanity so I would like to hear from them.
If it rhymes with duck, then you should wash your mouth out with soap!

You should be proud to be at NWA. It is a great airline. Honestly, with every day that passes I support this merger more and more. It is going to be a great mix. I'll let you in on a little secret, I am looking forward to a little bit more rebelliousness over here, a little more militancy if you will. At the same time, our group is about as laid back as it gets. The dynamic that comes from the combination will make t a great place to work, IMO.

How's that for a fresh start?

Actually, the last and final "take it or leave it" offer from DALPA at the DC meeting had 1000 yet to be hired DAL pilots on the list prior to integration. It is not rumor and it was the proposal from Mr. Moak.

I like it. I'm very familiar with how Delta works, I came from a (Quality)DCI carrier and things ran very smooth most of the time...even in ATL. NWA runs a good operation also, I only hope we can agree on how to run two great airlines as one.

But seriously, this thing will be over and we will

all have to get along. I am confident that will

happen.

For the record...

I am a NWA pilot and I am on the DC9. I have been furloughed for over 5 years. I have every reason in the world to lash out and be militant like some pilots in their posts.

I am looking forward to working with people who are proactive while still "having a pair." There's nothing worse than a pilot who is militant just for militancy-sake. I know the facts. This merger IS going to get done. Resisting it will be futile and draining the NWA bank account over the summer is going to do NOTHING to further our cause. It will only make the merged company weaker.

On the other hand, when I hear about DS getting $22 MIL or Gary Wilson's executive secretary being paid by ME for 10 flippin years. I want to start throwin ---t! This new company better learn that this type of entitlement does nothing to build unity within the company.

A question for DAL pilots...

When you guys emerged from BK last year, did your non-contract management snapback to 100% pay on the first day you emerged? That is exactly what happened here at NWA. This is a really poor example of constructive, proactive leadership we seem to be lacking here at NWA. Especially when most contract employees took extensive pay concessions.

Bottom line is this. I look forward to flying with you guys at DAL. NWA pilots want to feel proud of the company they work for. Our management has proven time and time again they don't want a constructive relationship with us. On the other hand, I know DAL management has had a better standing relationship with its pilots. THAT I lool forward to. Anything will be an improvement.

Just wanted to give you a reason why you see a lot of anger from our side. (Heck, I didn't even get into the fact that our junior pilots were sold a bill of goods BY OUR OWN PILOTS during the TA vote to save the pensions of the most senior pilots. A lot of the junior pilots weren't even allowed to vote on the TA that we now live with because we were on furlough)

Hopefully the rhetoric will cool from the silent minority here and we can get on with our lives. Negativity and false accustaions are getting us nowhere.

Truth is, if you haven't signed a confidentiality agreement you don't know what was actually said or proposed during the negotiations. If you have attended a road show, you were told what you were supposed to hear and it was designed to garner your support for your side's direction. It's a negotiation, there are going to be differences of opinion. Let's leave it at that and refrain from the personal attacks.

I don't believe they are attempting to put 1000 DAL pilots who have yet to be hired above any pilot on the NWA pilot seniority list. There are however a large number of furloughed pilots on bypass, many of whom are back in the military and are currently serving in Iraq, who deserve to have their seniority number honored. They will come in above me as well if they chose to return. These may be your 1000 pilots.
