I have a friend who was hired/awaiting a class prior to 9/11 and everyone knows the outcome of that. Anywho, once NWA started hiring again at the end of '07, he got a call and was asked if he was still interested. He went through the interview and was hired. Nice to know they still kept him in mind and gave him another chance.

Word is that Anderson got handed carde blanche to run the merged airline as he sees fit, including direct authority to hire/fire all upper level management.

Another rumor....RA convinced the board of the importance of a combined pilot list before any merger and received board approval not to merge unless there is one.
