FWIW,

NWA has increased the number of pilots they are recalling this fall. Looks like an increase of 30-50 over the number originally planned. Mileage may vary due to military and other deferrments. All categories are running at max cap, tightly staffed, with lots of open time. Reserves are capping out every month.

In other news, NWA also announced the re-opening of the SEA crew base, this time with 330s and there has been some press about NWA considering the 7E7 with KLM.

Awesome, Awesome, simply AWESOME!

Congrats Red Tails! :)

So, we've got NWA, UAL, and DAL starting recalls.

Let's hope AMR starts recalling soon. Unfortunately, I think that they've got some furloughs coming up in Oct. :(

It'll be nice when every airline turns around and doesn't have furloughees on the street.

Don't forget CAL, even though they've been slowly recalling for a while.

How's the recall at CAL working with the retirement of the Md-80's?

Cal

The most recent bid at CAL (closed on the 13th of September) allowed 326 furloughed pilots to return. The last pilot holding a position is senority number 4389. There are 4498 total on the senority list leaving 108 pilots still on furlough.

Rumor has it the training will continue at approx. 30 - 35 recalls per month until all pilots (plus the 112 XJet pilots that were offered a job at CAL) are back flying for Continental.

Sorry for the thread drift...I think its great NW is recalling.

AA recalls

Hey I was wondering how can AA be furloughing when they are planning all this expansion in DFW in DFW next summer. ANy thoughts

thanks
