Quite funny.
Really I do not care what I fly as long as there is a large steady paycheck there for my family.

I am quite sure there will be a fair amount of aircraft base movement between current bases. You will likely see 744 time in ATL, 772 time in DTW, MD90s in MSP, A320/19 time in SLC and CVG, etc. It will be interesting, and it may happen before the SOC. That will get people who want to be in those bases from their own airline (either NWA or DL guys) there first, and get them established. After that, seniority will rule.

And (I can't believe I am saying this), Occum is right. We are now all in this TOGETHER. We can give jabs here and there, but we shouldn't give low blows. The arbitrators will decide the SLI, and we will move forward.

Bye Bye---General Lee

I agree that we are one group now.
We will see what the companies do when it comes to the shift that is going to come. New bases or really long trips. Either way it will be interesting. Heck if they do open MSP or DTW maybe I will bid that.
Any word on how the commute is to those two places from DFW?

The really are up in the air as to when they will do the AE. If they can wait until Nov. they will. That will allow back fill for after DCC and the summer 09 schedule.

ACL,

In my almost 13 years MSP has always been easier than DTW. However, DFW-MSP since last fall or so has gone from all mainline to 5 76 seaters and 2 either 319/320s per day. AA has 6 a day, mostly 80s with one 737 I think. Also FDX has a flight that gets into AFW about midnight. I believe DTW is 5 per day with mostly airbi, maybe a 76 seater on some, not sure. Msp-Dfw went from being relatively painless a couple of years ago to somewhat stressful. With our current call in honest going to work was no stress just getting home. Not sure how y'alls will work. Hope that helps.

I have friends at both airlines. It is a good time to get along right now. My bet is that no matter how it turns out by Nov. 20 there is going to be some pissed off people that won't ever let it go. I hope I am wrong though. More importantly I hope its not me!

Any one have a guess when a Delta guy will be able to bid DTW? I am sure there are many many FL commuters looking forward to an Atlanta commute over MSP or DTW!

I am sure that your MSP or DTW is a lot easier than ATL, NYC, SLC, CVG, and LAX.
ATL has a ton of people each day. NYC only has two 76 seaters that go direct, one AA and then it is off to LGA, SLC is a mix of mainline and DCI, CVG is all DCI and LAX is on AA or LUV through ABQ. Needless to say, I am sure that many commuters are looking at the alternatives come DCC.
