Our Worldwide route map is almost complete. We will be a force, and we will be a survivor.

A survivor? You mean like Pan Am?

You route map doesn't mean diddly.

You have routes and hubs that will be eliminated. The pilots are already at each others throats. The other work groups are union vs. non-union. Your fleets are almost completely incompatible. You are going to owe the state of MN a spitload of money for moving the headquarters. DC-9's will be grounded. Your scope is a lost cause. Regional airlines are going to continue to encroach on your mainline flying. You have a sleazy CEO (my kinda' guy) and Doug Stealin' (another my kinda' guy) will be on your BOD.

You are headed towards a cliff with the GPWS screaming "PULL UP", but you are all flying along fat dumb, and happy thinking how bright the future is.

Have another glass.

You are just wrong, and you don't back up your arguments. If MN wants the money, they will lose a lot of service down the road. We are parking 75 50 seat RJs. The DC9s won't be around forever, but they will be around for longer than expected. What was that noise I just heard? Oh yeah, we have been cleared to land, everywhere. Bye now Frank.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Whats the truth? In one breath you guys keep telling us that the 9s and 742s are going away asap and 1000s or furloughs. In the next it is the rjs and the 9s are the right aircraft for the mission. Just depends on who your audience is, doom and gloom about the 9s&742s to us, and how great the will be to the dal system to others who question the viability of the merged airline.

We never said anything about the 742s, because even UPS got rid of their 742s and 741s, and they have a lot more money to spend. As far as the DC9s go, well, our future management keeps saying they will use some on current RJ routes. We can only hope that is true. Fingers crossed!

Bye Bye--General Lee
