Just to be factual on this, the ORIGINAL class date was for the 21st. NW called everyone in that class late last week to notify it was being moved to the 28th, so it was VERY close to being 2 weeks, not 3.
As for me, my employer surely knew when they got the PRIA forms, and I wasn't exactly keeping it a secret. I bid my Apr sked based on starting on the 21st (to be OFF that week) so I could call them up only when I was sitting in class to give my formal notice. I also intended to give them a courtesy notice 2 weeks prior, and that I would officially resign once in class. No need to call off in the middle of a trip or drop anything to head to MSP. Moving the class to the 28th messed up that plan.
And I don't think my employer would have minded me doing it the way I planned.
I'm not upset with NW, in fact I'm breathing a sigh of relief that they can sort things out an offer me the position when there's a better idea of the plan.
