Wow...I guess the bleeding isn't over yet. My prayers go out to each and everyone of them. I still take out that yellow paper that says "We would like to offer you a pilot position...." and think what might have been. I was very fortunate and the military welcomed me back..( got passed over yesterday though, I guess not all is forgiven, but I can't really blame them I made my choices) You guys who are facing this storm head on are the real warriors of this industry and you have all earned your seat at the table and my respect. One day we will all come out the other side of this and the sky will be blue again. People will always fly and planes will always need pilots. Hold on as long as you can, it will be worth it.
Won't it be nice when we look at our IRA's and college savings accounts and see the lack of a negative sign next to the percent growth. When we see airlines accepting apps again, buying planes, hiring people. Well I am at it I want a pony too. The economy will recover though, and the airlines will too...
I feel for all you furlougheds. I have a friend who is F'ed from NW. Fortunately he has an AF Reserve job. I hope all of you have something to fall back on (or rich wives)
