Any new news on the bidding for NWAIRLINK flying? I thought the bidding closed on the 9th?
Thanks.

NWA planned on up to a 60 day period to review the bids. Doesn't mean they will wait 60 days but if it means more leverage over their current airlinks and their own pilots they will wait until the last minute to announce anything.

I heard that OH bidded on the NW Airlink flying as well but it all depends on if our pilots agree to what the company is asking for as far as paycuts. When they asked Delta if they could do this DL said go for it.......

Wonder why they did that? Because DL is stripping OH down to sell them

just a guess but it probably has alot to do with SkyTeam and how the carriers interact. Before XJ's BK it was rumored that XJ and 9E were going to bid for DCI flying to, not that I believed it, but it's not far fetched because of the alliances.

AWAC beat Mesa for the Airtran flying. (And we all saw how well that went.)

That was never intended to be a long-term thing anyway...

I was at a Pinnacle station today, and the rampers told us that XJ did indeed put in the lowest bid. No idea how they heard that, but that's what I was told. Take it for what's it's worth...
