I can give you the 3rd year fo pay for most U.S. airlines right now.. Almost all are concessionary contracts, and our TA'd FO rates still don't come close... DAL's 3rd year fo rates on the 80 are $79-Alaskas and Frontiers $73- American $88- UAL $73- JB $67- NWA $69 dc9 and $77 320- SWA $98- CO $64........... Who is jealous of our $67 hr? Hell, at the end of the contract we still don't get close to most of the current concessionary contracts out there..... Hell, I loved it when MS told me that our FO pay was industry standard.... AP just doesn't get it.. No one is jealous of our TA'd contract.. My buddys at Alaska were jumping for joy when I told them this was gonna go down.. Alaska is watching our contract very closly.. They are far from "jealous"....

It almost seems as if AP is trying to convince himself that this is worthwhile. On one hand I hear him say that it is a concessionary TA but they got what the polling data said the pilot group wanted and other unions are jealous? Not very likely. Saying that they are still trying to negotiate this TA in DC for the next couple of weeks is a senseless waste of money. There are countless loopholes that could never be repaired in such a short amount of time. The new proposals made by the union were quickly thrown back in their face and they quickly rolled over and showed their belly. Don't waste anymore time or money. Put it out for a vote now... let's put it six feet under and get the recall underway. I AM TRULY SORRY THAT THE NC AND BOD TOOK THE LIVELIHOOD OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE (PILOTS AND THEIR FAMILIES) AND DAMAGED IT. THEY BETRAYED THE CONFIDENCE GIVEN TO THEM BY A PILOT GROUP TO NEGOTIATE WHAT WAS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PILOT GROUP. THEY EVEN HAD A COLOR BY NUMBER OUTLINE TO FOLLOW. IF IT IS LESS THAN OUR CURRENT BOOK THEN YOU HAD BETTER BE ABLE TO JUSTIFY WHY YOU MADE THOSE CHOICES. NOTHING OF WHAT HAS COME OUT OF ANY OF THEIR MOUTHS HAS JUSTIFIED ANY OF THOSE DECISIONS. THEY AMY HAVE QUIT ON US BUT WE WILL NOT QUIT ON OURSELVES. WE ARE THE NPA... THE BOD IS NOT. CONTINUE THE RECALL EFFORT.

I prepared that same chart for pay when I was initially showing in the T.A. rebuttal that we would be signing for pay rates that were either THE lowest or next to the lowest in the Major Airline industry at Date of Signing and then upgrading into the worst reserve rules in the industry.

There is NO defense to that statement. Like another pilot of ours said: there's something NOT to like in almost every changed section of this T.A.

So what's the deal? There will be more negotiations for the next two weeks and then we get to vote on that new and improved (haha) version?

If they had any sense the NPA would walk away from the table, de-endorse the TA, let us vote it down, and save us some dues money.

Oh well maybe with some better leadership. Please, please recall these guys.

Not My World Either ;-)

Dude, if you definition of "having a clue" includes Rico then I don't ever want to enter your world!

Thats not my world -- I wouldn't want to be in that world either ! ! !

I had to read it a few times but I think he was referring to Lear.

Most definitely NOT referring to R i c o here gents . . . (the clue bird is still circling to land, appears the runway is closed ;-) Newnan was/is correct. I shall endeavor to be more clear and succinct in my future communications to the masses.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Seems to me we need to take this to heart . . . courage to change the BOD and NC, and the wisdom to kill the proffered TA, revised or not.

And it ain't personal . . . its just my livelihood.
