Looking for confirmation that previously submitted recall petitions were thrown out. Supposedly the wording was incorrect or a semi-colon was out of place and they were discarded. Those of you out there that signed previous petitions make sure you do it again. Your voice needs to be heard. Definitely time to do some thorough investigations with a dash of the department of labor thrown in for good measure. I am sure they can try to use an insanity plea because their level of competence has been insanely void of any common sense.

I've heard it too and the best part is that M. S. is on the new one!! I saw the new one yesterday. Hoping to have all the necessary signatures by Fri.

Supposedly the Hired Legal Aid at the NPA disallowed the C.A. Petition.

The D.S. Petition mentioned in the above post, will go through. If you need a copy let me know(pm me) and I'll email one to you.

Throw the bums out . . . . . the NPA updates should have a soundtrack playing, "Send in the Clowns".

I would appreciate a copy. Can't find it on Brad's website and my recruiting campaign for recall starts on Sunday when I start my next trip.

You can read into that what you will. Especially when you get your update tomorrow on the conference call.

Here's a hint: I wasn't advised there was mediation going on tomorrow, I found out about it by accident (walking into a room and hearing a discussion before they shut up as I rounded the corner), nor have I been invited to participate, nor have I been told why or why not.

I pretty much know why I'm not involved anymore, can't say why, and will be participating wholeheartedly in the recall of AP.

Incidentally, MS isn't on my personal recall list. I can't say why, but many of you know my beliefs and can read what you will into that, as well.

Neither is BS or RD. Rico will be a non-issue. He'll vote however the senior guys lean on him to vote. BS is up for re-election this fall and I doubt he'll run again; he's burnt out. I plan on running for either his spot or something similar, depending on the wish of the pilot group (you've gotta be nominated you know). :)

At some point in the future I may be able to elaborate. All I can do at the moment is tell you what I personally plan on doing and that my goals as stated in my Vote No position have not changed.

"We fight together, or die alone".

Better have an able and ready to go replacement leadership team or the sucking sound will be heard from ATL to MKE......

Well, he's on my recall list. I have several emails from this guy and from my communication with him all I can say is.. pathetic. He does not represent the pilot group at all. As far as he is concerned everything is wonderful. I would not trust this guy to back me up at all.
I am ready to sign the recall letter, some body please PM me a copy.

I am continually surprised at the arrogance exhibited by these jerks.
To throw out recall petitions and ignore the wishes of the membership who signed them is the height of self-centered arrogance.
We need to fire every last one of the bums!

You have got to be F'ing kidding me. Attend one mediation session and you're suddenly mushroomed? That's all I need to hear. The AP administration is now officially useless. If they marginalize the only guy involved that has a shred of credibility with the average line pilot, they are corrupted to the core.

This is just great. The Association is playing games with the livelihoods of the pilot group during the end game of negotiations and just prior to a probable merger with an ALPA represented airline. I hope they don't totally screw things up before you can get in there to properly represent the FL pilots, Rich.

I signed up for Airtranpilots.org last week and mailed it in and am still waiting to get approved is there anyone who knows how I can get ahold of BD asap so I can get on the site. Anyone that has the recall form please pm me. I need to sign one as soon as I can.

I actually talked to Allen this morning.

He had the temerity to call me and ask me where I was...

After 2 emails in the last 5 days from me asking him when and where mediations were taking place and if I was going to be involved so I could plan accordingly.

It's either deliberate intent or sheer stupidity. Either way, I'm putting the recall up on my website. I hate that MS is included in it since I think he's now in full understanding of what the pilot group wants, but AP has to go, and MS is going to get caught in the cross-fire. :(

Don't feel bad for MS. Personally I think he's out only for himself. However, if what you say is true, and provable, then maybe he'll be back.

As far as Lear is concerned, I think getting an answer from AP on tonight's conference call is in order!

It was before my time, but what happened to BD in regards to his removal from the NPA BOD? Something about a webcam and our union lawyer?

Don't be surprised when he claims that I knew about it and chose not to be there. That's what he told me on the phone, even though I have all my emails to him and all his emails to me for proof.

I may call in myself and bring it up just to put the info out there with the truth before they get a chance to spin it...

Lear, you could paste the exchange on your info site. Also, the link to the petition did not work when I tried it.

I think it would be imperative for you to be on the conference call tonight.

Call it what it is. In reference To BRAD DUNLAP he was ousted as a result of the internal audit and ethics commitee. Brad, via his own admission, displayed pornographic material on an NPA laptop during a NPA Board meeting. He asked the female office manager and female NPA lawyer to view it. This guy gets a big "F" for judgement.
Brad also used the entire IT budget to buy computer equiptment that was not needed.

These idiots get over there and lose touch. If the budget is there or not it's the pilot groups money, it should be spent with careful consideration.
Skipper Hyle, Mike Surrapine, Howard hobday, and especially Laura Backus and Allen....they all need to go.
The pilot group shoud consider term limits in the NPA by laws to prevent this stuff, and productivity measurements for Laura or, hopefully, the next counsel.

What about...

Could we pass some sort of term limit and also make it so that we only pay Union leaders 50 or 60 hours per month. That way they will have to fly at least one trip a month. This will force them to get out and work as well as get to know some of the membership.
I think a big part of the problem is they get elected and start living off our dues and then forget what it is like to actually work for your living. They probably only show up 12-14 days a month and then spend half their time surfing the web rather that working.

Meanwhile, down in MCO, the other BoD and N are ROTFLTAO ! Thanks NPA. But its not the NPA . . . just the guys we elected (and don't even think of bringing that any of those other unions on prop, either -- we'll deal and fix this ourselves.) I've signed one recall, bring another, and I'll sign that one, too.

I'm past listening to their excuses at this point. The only guy out there who has a clue is RM, and they're trying to shut him out. It will be very, very interesting tonight . . .

Dude, if you definition of "having a clue" includes Rico then I don't ever want to enter your world!

OMG... AP has absolutly nothing to say.. Delayed until Aug now... Hopefully we can get him recalled by then...

You know,,, even though he's bad-mouthing me, I feel kinda bad for him (so which is it, Allen? You rearranged the schedule and expected me to show up today or the mediator said I couldn't come to the table because of my "antics" in D.C. last week?)

He's been getting beat up in negotiations all day no doubt, then he's on the phone and he's getting barbecued by the rank-and-file pilots.

Nice of him to finally acknowledge they failed... the best thing he could do at this point is ask the BoD to pull the positive endorsement, put it out to vote with a "Do-Not-Recommend" from the BoD and, once it dies, resign.

Unfortunately, they're going to negotiate for two more weeks before putting it up for a vote. It's my hope the original document goes to vote to keep from diluting the "No" vote enough to marginalize our future negotiating

I appreciate the support, and I will certainly be willing to be a part of the new cadre' once it comes time to vote/appoint new leadership.

Thanks for your support...

I missed some of it

That was it?????
He still doesn't get it.

Did he address the throwing out the recall petitions?

Hey AP and MS - I dare you to come say to my face that my signature on that petition was not valid!
