Ok, now we can go back to despising him on the flight deck.

On Tuesday, Captain Ed Fortaw, Chairman of the ASA Contract Negotiating Committee (CNC), submitted his resignation to the ASA MEC shortly after the close of the vote. Captain Fortaw?s decision to vacate his position on the CNC was driven by his personal desires to return to flying and pursue personal endeavors.

He was supposed to be Chair of the integration stuff after the TA is voted in. Wonder if he'll still be doing that?

I have never met even one FO who liked him. They all tell stories of his unwillingness to communicate in any manner. I am talking about completely ignoring the First Officer. I have no tolerance for this type of person in the flight deck of any airliner.

Soooo I take it you've had the privilege of flying, uh, accompanying him on a flight? :)

On the ERJ side, one of the captain reps is also resigning. He was one of the yes voters to send the TA for ratification.
