Lol, uh huh. I have a bridge to sell anyone that believes a single posted line in an obscure website.

Here's your bridge for sale....

....AMR divests from AE. SWA and AAI merge. AMR and SWA merge, SWA covers the domestic, with some Mexico destinations. AA concentrates on the international operation. The AT side of the new SWA covers the the RJ cities with the B717 and resolves the 100-seat dilema between mainline and the commuter.

Although, this does not explain the Jet Blue connection with AA.

Whatever scenario seems less likely, sometimes happens.

Resistance is futile.

Jeff, you're reading much too much into this. My guess is the "Unconfirmed Rumor" source (a Flt Attendant) probably overheard two airline mgmt suits discussing how AMR was about to buy "the airline with all the blue jets." :D

This is a joke thread... Ha ha ha

It will NEVER happen. Talk about poisoning SWA's precious culture... Those old American FA bags couldn't even fit in SWA shorts during the summer... No way.
