NWA may just have found a way to keep its head above water in these tough times for the airlines. If this idea proves to be a success, what's next? Perhaps the pax can clean the toilets and cabin in the a/c as well.

The full service airline. This ain't your fathers Oldsmobile any longer.

Next, maybe NWA will lay off all the ramp help. Pax can sling their own luggage on to the conveyors. If it wern't for those pesky security problems and weight and balance concerns. Maybe they'll figure a way around that as well. They can ask for volunteers on board to be flight attendants, and then they'll have even more employees they don't have to pay.

Why dont we just have the passengers do security checks on themselves- Preferably before coming to the airport.

I just read a short article in INC mag. on jetblu where the author was on a flight with neelman (sp) and he asked to the pax "to clean thier seat areas so they could turn the aircraft faster at the gate in CA and head back to NY".
