Heard over the weekend northwest furloughed more pilots and flight attendants ! talk about the grinch stealing christmas.

Not New News

These furloughs were announced a while back. The 40 pilots furloughed Nov 1 were announced along with the 40 on Oct 1 during the summer. There will be 63 more furloughed Jan 31 that was announced in Oct. That will bring the total NWA pilots on furlough to 630 and back to a date of hire of Nov 99. Total of 1600 flight attendant positions was previously announced. Apparently only about 800 took the voluntary leave of absence and the rest will be furloughed. Times...they are tough.
