i was just curious how many in the area applied..thats all...and as far as time in type, i think if that was the case they would have posted that as a requirement...but i could be wrong.

NS Application

I'm a Norfolk local and I finally just got my application, cover letter and resume off to them. A fellow pilot I know spoke briefly with one of their guys this morning and recommended I apply. All I heard was they are hiring 2 pilots and they have received 700 resumes so far. It didn't sound like types or even jet experience was a prerequisite. The listing will have been out a month come Sept. 24. It's just now showing up on Monster.com. Good luck to all who apply! :)

Pilot Candidacy Survey E-Mail

I got the e-mail this afternoon from the Manager of Management Recruiting with a link to the survey. All they wanted to know was time in Challengers and 800XPs and salary expectations and history. I wanted to let everyone know that they are still looking.

just curious (not applying) what people are putting for "salary expectations?"

I got the email today as well. For salary expectations; this is exactly what I put on mine:

NBAA standard SIC Hawker - $57,000-$64,000
NBAA standard SIC Challenger - $63,000 - $71,000

I probably ruined my chances by putting these figures but, they asked. I mean, if any of us accept anything less, we're hurting everyone. I don't have any challenger time but I do have 930 hours in a Hawker 800.

Was it the same survey the sent out in September? Cosmo, don't get down on yourself for putting down a decent wage, you have the right attitude. For what it's worth I put down a similar figure on my survey. If they decide to hire the guy that low-balled his salary expectation then it was never a desireable job anyway.

Yeah what I'm wondering is if they hired someone from the last post and they've already quit. Doubt it but, ya never know.

Is there anyone here that has worked for them and know what the QOL is or the pay. What's Norfolk like anyways????

I filled out the questionaire yesterday and got a response e-mail today indicating that the position had been filled. Also found the same position description posted on AviationCareer.com as of today. Don't know if they really filled the position and now have another one they need to fill or what.

Dexter what salary did you put?? Do you have any hawker or challenger time??

Also, I wonder if they are getting us to do the survey to find out what they should pay the person they hired??
