Last minute....need to get the wifey from MCO-TLH tomorrow. Anyone know if it's possible to get a non-rev ticket (I'm with AirTran) for her on Gulfstream Airlines, operating as Continental Connection? Is there a Pass Bureau phone number for Gulfstream?

Thanks!

Buy her an ID90. Should be able to do it at your company ticket counter.

DL Connection also does MCO-TLH, as others have said you can buy an ID-90 from AirTran's ticket counter for her.

Z,

Have a heart, man! Don't you realize that non-revving on Gulfstream is keeping their income levels down and therefore driving up the cost of PFT? Buy the danged ticket - save PFT!

(P.S. For all of you who have absolutely no sense of humor, this post was entirely sarcastic!)

I'd say check with your pass bureau at AirTran first. If no dice then try this number for GIA/Continental Express non-rev travel: 954-266-3000. Press "0" and ask for Amanda in pass travel.

I think its about $40,000 or so to non-rev on them. They'll save you a seat right up front though.

Quote of the day...probably one of the best PFT zingers ever.

What do you mean non rev?? The right seater is a fare paying pax.

Putting your wife on Gulfstream? Is she instrument current? I hope they don't delay the flight so the F/O can get his logbook signed for his cross-country.

Calling Gulfstream "COEX" is an insult to the real COEX. They are Continental Connection which is an insult to Commutair, Regions, and Colgan.

I was waiting for someone to say it. XJT is "COEX." GIA is "Continental Connection." Please don't insult the "COEX" guys and gals, they deserve better than that.

I agree, COEX is not the buy-a-job-from-Eastern-Scabs outfit GIA MOST ASSUREDLY IS; COEX is Express Jet Airlines (my employer). At GIA, they outta call the FO, the "FP" for First Passenger, right?

Hutchman, I noticed the airplanes in your profile, did you work for us? If so how's things over at CAL?

So what do the All ATP guys call it? I know they can get on with little time as compared to when XJT was being more strict about hiring other CFIs with triple the amount of time. The CFIs that worked for the job didn't get it because "they lacked real world experience." Someone please explain the difference to me. I know with 3x the amount of time I'm sure they would have technically 3x the amount than the ATP grad who has the gift of using daddy's money to further his career and build up debt.

Well, I didn't work for ATP, just did the CFI ratings thing there and I was always a local FBO/charter/Cfi type. I had a few Atp dudes in my class and the only guy who busted any training event was an ex turboprop pilot from another commuter carrier. But, just maybe, it could be that the CFI who had three times the hours the ATP guy had was a complete friggin' toolshed and blew the whole interview.... It happens sport, believe dat! No since in being bitter about it dude, it's an RJ job, not a FedEx interview.
