Last minute....need to get the wifey from MCO-TLH tomorrow. Anyone know if it's possible to get a non-rev ticket (I'm with AirTran) for her on Gulfstream Airlines, operating as Continental Connection? Is there a Pass Bureau phone number for Gulfstream?

Thanks!

I'd say check with your pass bureau at AirTran first. If no dice then try this number for GIA/Continental Express non-rev travel: 954-266-3000. Press "0" and ask for Amanda in pass travel.

First of all, Gulfstream is NOT Continental Express. I know because I used to work for Gulfstream... :)

Now I work for Airtran, and yes we do have passes on Gulfstream but you have to get them through the pass bureau in Orlando or ATL.

If you have no time9cause they are so freaking slow) it is a good shot to call Amanda at gulfstream. She has a VERY good relationship with our pass bureau and if u catch her in a good mood she might be able to help. (sweet old lady, but sometimes she follows the rules with no flexibility, sometimes she does...)

PM me for extra info

For 5000 bucks or more you can get here in the F/O seat!

(Sorry--couldn't resist....)

If you get her on for free . . . ..

Your wife and the Captain will be the only two on the whole flight who aren't paying to be there.

Sad. Very sad. I wouldn't even put my mother-in-law on that flight, let alone someone I love and care about.

Just looked at your website, rather unprofessional statement to make with your company website listed below.

However I have caught you jab a few airlines and pilot groups, I know that is not our Fed Ex way, so where does that attitude come from?

Some people don't respond well to humor. I thought it was funny. Sometimes the truth hurts. Start a poll, I'll bet btter than 90% of the Fed Ex guys see the humor...........

I'll bet that better than 90% of the FedEx guys don't even know what GIA is.

Yea, how's a "Fed Ex Way" guy supposed to get a good job, if he/she's burning those bridges over at UPS or Continental?

First off--lighten up...it was a joke. I was trying to be funny, not mean.

Gulfstream is a pay for training outfit. Love it or hate it, that is what they do. I've helped several Gulfstream captains (hired in as captains) get ready for interviews at other places. I would never have known anything about those operations if I didn't have direct contact with people that have worked there. Most of those captains get good PIC time early in their careers and move on somewhere else. I haven't yet met an ab initio Gulfstream pilot but I'm sure I will down the road.

Loco--who else have I "jabbed?" Other than the occasional guy who considers the Air National Guard a flying club, I generally stay pretty civil and keep tongue firmly in cheek. If I rankled your feathers...I apologize.

And as for the "FedEx way...."--you can 'splain that one to me too. FedEx is a great place to work, but I don't remember any "kindler and gentler" being pushed at any phase of any program there.
