I'm still pretty fresh at the non-rev game, so I thought I'd ask something.

If I am non-rev and the gate agent gives me a seat number in back, should I still pop my head in and say hi to the flight deck? Or is it an inconvenience?

Like when I fly on my own airline and get a seat assigned ahead of time, or on someone with unlimited jumpseats and lots of empty seats.

Thanks

If you are jumpseating, you should stop up front and request the seat from the captain. If you are just non reving, it's not necessary but it never hurts to stop up front and say hi and thanks if you have time.

Non rev - Interline or your own company, NO.

Jump Seat - Even if the gate give you a seat number in the back, YES YES YES, and still ask permision.
